I  am a  multimedia  pyrography  artist  located  in  Northern  Virginia.  My  earliest  forays  into  art  involved  pencil  and  pen  &  ink  drawing,  and  burning  was  a  natural  progression. Art  helped  me    stay  sane  during  my  military  and  corporate  careers,  and  retirement  allows  me  to  have  a  full-time  title  of  

Specializing in natural materials like gourds and wood, my work combines pyrography,  carving, various  color  mediums, and embellishments to create unique pieces. Almost  every  piece  features  pyrography,  which  is  the  art  of  “fire  writing”  -  commonly  referred  to  as  woodburning.

I  am  native  Vermonter  who  finds  inspiration  in  nature - wildlife,  fauna,  landscapes.  Arizona  is  my  spirit  home,  and  I  am  drawn  to  Southwest  themes.  I  have  been  to  travel  extensively,  and  receive  inspiration  from  many  places  and  cultures  I  have  visited.
